Well,
Kittens, it's been more than a month of living like a gypsy. Personal
note: Living like a gypsy - not on my top ten things to do again. Let's
be clear, we are living with great people who have a beautiful house and have
bent over backwards to make us feel welcome. We are SO blessed.
What makes it so ”difficult" is going back and forth the last few weekends
and packing. I am tired. TIRED. T-I-R-E-D. The
silver lining? It is nearly over. YES!! This weekend is the
last one in Fayetteville - can I get an AMEN?? We are moving everything
into storage in Tulsa on Saturday.
Basically, Friday is final push for me to finish the packing of the
breakables – which I am convinced are like gremlins and are reproducing because
someone is feeding them after midnight.
Every time I think I have them all corralled – there are just MORE
things to pack. Saturday is the “big one”.
Thankfully, I have good friends and
family that are willing to help! Everything will be stuffed into a storage
building for two weeks. That’s right,
you read that correctly. Two weeks. Then, get another truck and load it and
unload into our rental house. I signed a
two year lease because I didn’t want to move again. SO. SICK. OF. MOVING.
On the bright
side, it is a totally cute retro house with lots of charm. I will really enjoy making it prettier and
enjoying the space.
This post is
coming of as a little frenetic in nature, but that is because I am in total adrenaline
mode.
One more time,
let’s be clear, we are so blessed. We
are able to have good jobs, we found a pretty place to live, a very nice oasis
in the chaos to land. I am grateful for
all that the Lord has given me and I am grateful for all the craziness that has
ensued to bring us to this point. It was
a long and winding road that has brought us back to Tulsa but I am grateful for
it.
Homeless for
2.5 weeks, but happy,
Queen Marie
